Government High School Hunder was established in 1926 and is managed by the Department of School Education, Union Territory of Ladakh.The school is situated in a rural area of Nubra District, UT Ladakh.The school provides education from Grade 1 to Grade 10 and is co-educational in nature. It also has an attached pre-primary section. The medium of instruction is English. The school is not operated as a shift school and follows the regular academic session from March to December.The school is accessible throughout the year by an all-weather road. It functions from a Government-owned school building and is committed to providing quality education and a supportive learning environment to the students of the region.School Infrastructure .
With a history spanning 100 years since its establishment in 1926, Government High School Hunder has played an important role in providing education to the children of Hunder and the wider Nubra region.The school continues to work towards providing accessible, inclusive and quality education, while strengthening its academic environment, infrastructure and learning facilities for the benefit of its students and the community.
